A favorite memory is of a parade in my hometown of Attleboro, Massachusetts, I was 19 years old and I had a 1949 Dodge. A couple friends and I put American flags on my back bumper and we followed behind the parade. It was bit mischievous, it was 1973, I was 19. Now it is a fond memory of a simpler time, long ago in a different world, when one could follow in innocent fun and pretend to be the end vehicle of the parade. Thank you to all who served, those who gave all, their families and friends, thank you to all who fought for my freedom.
Today will be a gardening day. We had so much winter kill due to the long warm fall days followed by a brutally cold week of weather. The poor plants did not get a chance to gradually go dormant. We will be searching out the plants coming from the roots, carefully cutting away the deadwood and rejoicing to see the plants' rebirth. It is a time to mourn those folks and plants lost, but be happy that renewal is happening as well.
My favorite memories is my son, who will have 20 years in the navy in July, and his Boy Scout Troop, Oklahoma’s Troop 26, putting up flags at the Veterans cemetery and then taking them down onMonday, after the flyover. Many times the families would be there and share their stories with the boys. It was always a beautiful service and scene. A very thankful person, Bobbi
Spent the day working in the yard, tilled up the garden and planted all the fresh veggies. I love seeing how pretty all the new plants look in the freshly turned up soil. Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸
