Paper Mache Boxes

Cotton Fabric

Matte Mod Podge

Brush

Scissors

Fine Sandpaper

Brown Acrylic Paint (We Use Shoe Polish)

Soft Cloth

Cover:

Cut fabric to fit around the box, allowing a little extra for overlapping

and glue down the edges. Brush on a thin coat of

Mod Podge, smooth fabric into place and glue down the edges.

Lid:

Cover the lid top and rim separately, keeping fabric thin where the

lid fits. Let everything dry overnight with lids off.

Age:

Apply a light coat of matte Mod Podge. Once dry, gently sand the edges and

seams for a worn look.

Antique:

Mix a little brown paint with matte Mod Podge, or use

brown shoe polish. Brush lightly around edges and wipe

back immediately with a soft cloth.

Pull a few loose threads for a tattered finish.

Let Dry Completely.
