Completed in 1754, the George Wythe House

was the home of George and Elizabeth Wythe.

Geroge was one of the signers of the

Declaration of Independence.

He was also a mentor to Thomas Jefferson,

James Monroe and John Marshall

During the Revolutionary War,

George Washington used the Wythe Hous

as his headquarters.
